I have a database that is used by a dozen team members and is constantly
in use.
There are 4000 records in this field and users pull up a specific record - update a few fields and save it.
The last update to this form was about 10 days ago. Since then every so often maybe about once a day - 1 of the users reports Record Locked.
The problem is that now - usually when they press Save Record or when they search for a specific record, the database hangs for a few seconds and then says 'Record Currently locked'
Things to note - it can work fine all day and then 1 or 2 users start having this problem.
They log out and in and eventually it starts working again -or I have to kick everyone out and compact it.
I have searched other threads and I see mentioned a Record Locking Trapping Procedure.Can anyone elaborate on this.
