record relationships

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone would ever want to reference a record in one table to another record in the same table. i'm not using this information in a function like DLookUp. for example the information in record 001A might be related to the information in record 021A of the same table. is there anyway to define this relationship?

You can join a table to itself is you need to compare values in one record to values in another. The most common example of this is a table of employeeIDs where there is also a supervisorID. I responded a few days ago in this thread about how to relate a table to itself to compare time values.
