Hi guys (Newbie here!)

I have an existing report generated in Access 2007 that is currently in Portrait mode and I want to reformat the data so that it fits into Landscape mode.

The report consists of a main report and 2 subrports.

I have managed to do the majority of the reformatting to both the main and subreports except that I can't figure out how to change the layout of the actual data that is displayed.

What I'm talking about is the "slider" control (if this is what you call it) that is displayed on on the main report.

I have attached a few screen shots that I hope will explain what I am talking about.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards
Greg

Define "change layout".

And what is this slider control? What does it do?

Hi Spikepl

You'll see what I'm talking about if you have a look at the attached screenshots..

Remember that I'm a newbie and may not be using the correct terminology.

By change layout I mean that I am changing the report from Portrait to Landscape and resdesigning/moving the various fields.

Why do you think I asked what I asked? Repeating same informtin does not move anything forward.

Again : what is this "slider" thing ? Never seen one. Is this perhaps some subreport reduced just to a scrollbar or what?

And again: define "change layout". What specifically do you wish to do, to which control, how do you go about doing it, and what does the system do (or not do)? I do not read minds, so need to know specifics, not generalities.

Hi again Spikepl,

I have absolutely no idea what the slider thing is...I think it is the link to the subreport?

Regarding what I am doing? I am moving existing fields around on the form that was originally in Portrait mode and now I want the report to be in landscape mode as I have more data to display....I can't explain this is any clearer than that....

Ok here is the update!

I wasn't going to let this thing get the better of me so I have searched back in the dark recesses of my brain as I seemed to remember that I had a similar issue sometime ago and that in order to "see" the subreports correctly on the the main report, I needed to first open the subreport in design view and then open the main report in design view. This removed the "Slider" thing and allowed me to adjust the width of the subreport....problem solved!!!!

Thanks again for all of your help with this...

Regards
Greg
