References problem?

Hi,

I´m trying to run a db in a97 on an XP machine.

I´m having problems with the datevalue function. Now I know the date function sometimes malfunctions due to a references problem, so I'm thinking maybe this is the same thing. However, there are no missing references.

I tried searching the forum, but couldn´t find the answer.

I don't have ac97 but I'm pretty sure we have users that have ac97 running on XP without problems. If you can compile then you probably have no missing references. Is your patch level up to date? You didn't mention what the error was.

I have had the case where I was experiencing problems with the Left, Mid, and Right functions and I can't remember if I had a problem with the date functions too on this. But, even if it doesn't show a missing reference, I used the browse button to browse to the COMCTL32.ocx file and then it worked fine.

It may not work in your case, but it may be worth a try.
