I am creating a money loan database and I would like someone to give me some advise here.

I have created three tables for this money loan database as follow:

tblBorrowers
BorrowerID
LastName
FirstName
PhoneNumber

tblLoans
LoanID
LoanDate
LoanAmount
BorrowerID

tblPayments
PaymentID
Interest
Principal
BorrowerID or LoanID (this is where I will need some help)

I would like to know if tblBorrowers should be the ONE side of tblPayments or if it should be tblLoans

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to put the LoanID there.
The borrower can be retrieved through a join between the loan table with the borrowers table then.

Entering loan and payment information

I have created two form one for entering loan information and one for entering payment information.

The form to enter loan information is based on a query (the query is base on tblBorrowers and tblLoans).

The form to enter payment information is base on a query (the query is based on tblLoans and tblPayments).

How do I pick the wright loan if there might be 10 loans with the same amount.

Any help would be appreciated.

Entering Payments

Lets say there are 50 borrowers and 75 loans. How do I know that loan #37 is for borrower #43 and not for borrower #13?
