refreshing a dB for working offline

Hi

I use my laptop to retrieve data from a dB over our network. This Access id constantly being updated and I want to save the latest copy to my laptop before I leave the office.

I am only interested in data retrieval and dont need anything fancy like a wirless VPN. I simply want to save a copy of the latest data to my laptop.

Problem is the database contains several linked tables which I need to create a snapshot of and upload to my laptop before I disconnect.

Can anyone suggest a simple way of doing this, perhaps a macro that runs everytime I open the network database, kills my local copy and refreshes it, then saves it to my laptop.

Any ideas gratefully received.

I'm afraid I've never done it but I'm sure I've read that there is a way to do this using briefcase.

Have a search on here and in help under synchronize.
