Hi all,
I done the db analyser this morning and it suggested breaking my tables apart, due to the fact quite a bit of the data was replicated ie Town in address field. It also suggested various other fixes which I just let it do
I decided that I was obviously doing something wrong in my structure so I started from a fresh screen and started to rebuild. whilst using the wizard it says some of my tables need to be related. ie tables that I use to look up member of staff etc. (this isn't a problem as I'll just put an additional field in later and make it a combo refering back to table) unless someone tells me not to do that.
Q) when I re-open the relationship window after saving changes it adds address 2 again and drops town relationship and temp details
the realtionships are all as the wizard initially set enforce referential integrity ticked and cascade update related fields ticked, they are all one to many.
