Hello,

I have a backend database and front end mdb file with forms. I established the necessary relationships in the back end, however when I open Relationships screen in the front end - it opens empty. Do I have to establish same relationships in the front end or can I leave it as it is and still have my relationships work as defined in the front end?

Maybe someone could help.

thanks

Hi,
I have experienced the same thing you are talking about. While the front end does not show the relationship info, it is actually there. The only thing is that the front end doesn't bring over the layout that you set up in the back end.

To view the relationships in the front end: open up the relationships window, right click anywhere on that relationships screen, and click on "Show All". This will make visible any tables involved in a relationship. You can also make visible any particular tables/relationships by clicking "Show table..." when right clicking on the relationships window.

Keep in mind, this will only make the tables and relationships visible. It won't keep the layout you created in the back end, but that can be replicated fairly easily by dragging the tables around until you get the desired look you want.
Hope this helps!
Dana
