I'm building a small-ish database that needs to keep track of cars that are being booked out for rental. The cars are obviously in a separate table so you can add and delete cars from the database as you want but my problem comes when booking the rentals.
I have two dates - date the car goes out, and date the car is due in. What i don't know how to do is make sure the car doesn't get double booked. so for example it might go out on the 29th/Aug/2003 and be due in on 31st/aug/2003 but as the database is at the moment it will allow the user to book the car out on the 30th/Aug/2003. How do i avoid this?
I'd be happy to email anyone the file as it is at the moment if that would be easier.
I'll be emencely appreciative of any help - its urgently required!
