Hi I created simple invoice template in Access 2003 reports, I want print out on dot metrix printer (Epson), report including three section page header details and page footer, when I printing one page looks good, but when I printing second page printer starting couting new page from last line in page one, I setup page break but still is wrong, please advise

Re: Report + dot metrix printer

If you remove the page break what happens?

Re: Report + dot metrix printer

nothing changes still printing wrong,

Re: Report + dot metrix printer

Have you tried a different printer? And you say when you view it on the screen it looks ok?

Did you try adjusting the settings of the printer? Maybe change the default paper type from Letter to A4 or vice-versa.

Re: Report + dot metrix printer

I checked on second printer, same problem on second page showing 1 cm margin, on 3rd page 2cm, 4th page 3cm and growing, I already changed a4 paper or letter. Please advise

I think the combined height of your report's sections are too high. Add up the height of EACH section and tell me what it is. Also, show a screen shot of your report in design view.

See attached. I've reduced the height of one of your report's section. See how that prints.

Still same problem, on first page top margin is 2.4 cm but on second page margin is 0.7 cm looks strange

You posted a report which just has labels. No textboxes, no data. I don't know how you expect me to test it out without some data?

I don't have a dot-matrix either. However, you are grouping by 'invoice_no' but you are not forcing a page break. Setup the page length to the proper size (A4, letter...). On the Sorting anf Grouping set 'Group Footer' to Yes so it displays on the report design. Then click on the footer and set 'Force New Page' to 'After Section'

Let us know if it works.

Still not working but strange, example I printed off 3 pages, top margin on first 8 cm, on second page margin is 6,5cm and on third page 5 cm....

At this stage I can only infer that it's the settings of the printer that needs to be changed. I think you need to setup a customer paper size etc... See the link provided in my last post.

Try fixed-width fonts. If that does not work, I would print the old-fashioned way, something along this lines... this is just air code...

intFreeFile = FreeFile()
intPageCount=1

Open LPT1: For Output As #intFreeFile

Do Until <recordsetname>.EOF
Print #intFreeFile, <recordsetname>!<yourfield>
<recordsetname>.MoveNext
intPageCount=intPageCount+1
if intPageCount>60 then
intPageCount=1
Print #intFreeFile, chr(12) ' form feed
endif
Loop
Print #intFreeFile, chr(12) ' form feed
Print #intFreeFile, " "
Close #intFreeFile
