Good day people,
I have done up a database for the very purpose of printing a directory listing of all our participating clients.
I split up the page into 4 columns and I have 3 categories (1 main and 2 sub). Fairly self explanatory. However I do encounter some formatting problems.
1. I have some of my contents being forcefully truncated and how do I resolve that?
2. I have some overflowing subcategory labels usually happens on the bottom of the page. It is pretty obvious that I do not need addition label if there is no listing directly below the subcategory label. Do I need some VB code for that?
3. I have a fixed numbers of fields for each listing but not all of the fields are compulsory. How do I shrink a short listing (by hidding the fields and hence pushing up the long listing) so that the formatting will not be awful with gaps inbetween a short and a long listing?
4. Not essential but good to do that. I have a line after each listing. I will really like to hide the line of the last listing of every (sub) subcategory. How do I program it?
I have attached a testing database for your perusal. Will appreciate if you can give me some input on how to improve my report. Cheers.
p/s: i realise that we do not really have free directory listing softwares in the marketplace. This might somewhat help though it has limited capabilities.
