Report grouped on Semiannual instead of quarterly

I would like my report to be grouped on a semiannual basis. I can see the option for quarterly, but I am not sure how to define my own intervals. I am sure I have to do some kind of public function defining the semiannual interval, but I am not sure how to do that or where to put that. Please help. Thanks.

I think it works if you have it grouping on quarterly but indicate the interval to be 2. It seems kind of simple, I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. Now I just have to get the text to work with it. For example for the first grouping (first two quarters) I want it to say Semi-Annual Jan thru June. Or something like that. Anyway, I thought I would post the result in case someone searches sometime. I thought this might be helpful.
