Report help

I have copied a previous report to use the formatting. The person who created the report before me has what it looks like a custom header what prompts a parameter when i preview, how can i change the header to a new name and so it doesnt prompt a parameter

In design view of the report look at all areas of the header ... it sounds like you have a field that is not connected to anything. These fields are easily spotted as they normally will have a green triangle in the upper left corner of the field. You will need to remove the field or connect it to an object in the database to make it go away.

If you have a group header for an item that doesn't exist in your own report, just to to View > Sorting and Grouping and then click on the little square box just to the left of the item that is under FIELD/EXPRESSION and once the entire row is highlighted you can hit your delete key to get rid of it. If you just want to get rid of the header, but leave the sorting in, just find the line that says GROUP HEADER near the bottom of the dialog and change from YES to NO.
