I am printing a report that is combining 20,000 (eventually 60,000) employees with over 1200 health plan options, 250 dental plan options, and two other sub-reports. I did the print preview when I left @ 4pm yesterday and it was up this morning. Therefore, I am unsure how long it is taking to format and piece it together.

My question is, even after compacting the db, is there anything else I can do? I fear I have too many queries that the information in the report and sub-reports is built on are too layered.

Anyone with help is appreciated.

I had the same situation too, but what I did was I made a make table query out of my query and called the table Dynamic Data, and then made my report out of the Dynamic data table. Since the information came out of just one table instead of several queries my report instanly showed up. Also, I don't know if you have any calculations in your query or not. If you do, it's a good idea to take those calculations and put them on an actual report. Otherwise, just get rid of some of the layers that you are talking about. Unless somebody else has a better answer for you. I hope that helped :)
