Report manipulation

Hi Guys,

I have a report, which has a sub report in it... the sub report contains an if statement which classifies the type of report that i have... for example it would decide whether or not the loan is active or not based on the if statement... is it possible for me to group the report based on the classification... so the active loans appear first.. then the un active and so forth... or even better is it possible to somehow only show the reports that are active... keep in mind the if statement is within the sub report

This might not be what you're looking for, but if you're using Access 2003, on your toolbar, there should be a Sorting and Grouping button. Once you open that, you can have it sort all your active first then your unactive, etc. Make sure that your "Group On" option is set as "Each value"
