report problem

Hello, I have created a form with a subform where shift supervisors and employess enter information throughout the day. There is in the main form it has a date field and supervisor field. The subform has time field and data entry field. I created a query and made a report with that query. Here is my problem the form will be used by to shifts on the same day. When I enter information on the main form and go to the next record like i was starting a new shift. I input the same day when I look at the report it gives me on the same report both records becuase of the date. if I use other dates in each record it will give me a seperate report. Is there anyway to get one record that has the same date on one report vice two records showing?
I dont know much about access but any input will be appreciated.
