I thought I had created the report that I need to save me hours of manual calculation! However, it is bringing in some irrelevant data, which is corrupting the results I need.

The attached file is a screenshot of the report in question. Each columnular section details the number of men sent to a job against the number planned for a job. The third column within each section is a calculation of the difference between the first 2 columns.

The results of the report are set between 2 dates (in this case in the month of June). Although on each line of the report one date is in June (usually the furthest right hand column for each line), most of the earlier visits are in other months, meaning I am getting false results.

What I need is for only the dates in June to be shown, even if it there have been previous visits.

I have tried creating individual queries for each section (which work fine), but when I try to bring them all together in a single query all I get is a blank result.

Can anyone suggest how I can populate the report just with dates in my selected time span, and leaves all other dates out of the report?

Using the attatched screenshot as an example, take the bottom line: The dates of the first 3 sections are dates in February, March and April and so should not be showing in the report. Only the results of the final column before the date column are in June. Therefore, it is only they that I want shown in the report.

Any help is much appreciated!

Ok, I have a partial solution! Using sub forms I have managed to get exactly the data I need in the Detail section.

I cannot get the calculations for the Report Footer section though. Using the Expression Builder I have tried making the control source =Sum([Reports]![RSub1stFix]![1st Fix Men Plan]) - which is the correct field based on the Detail section for making the calculation. When I run the report it asks me to enter parameters.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks for the help, I am glad I figured the first bit out myself for once. :D

Any thoughts anyone?
