Hi All

I have created two reports with numerous calculated totals in the report footers.

Is it possible for me to pull a total over from one report to the other? I have tried creating a text box and in its control source entering =[Rpt The name of my report].[Report]![The name of my text box] but it doesn't like it.

Ideally I want it to pull this text box over if it meets a certain condition. i.e =iif([EmployeeID]=1,[Rpt The name of my report].[Report]![The name of my text box] ,0). Employee ID is a field in my main report where I want to pull info into from the other.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions and help on this.

On the OnFormat event of the report save the first report total in a form text box. Then in the second report refence that text box.

Do you mean in the OnFormat part of my report footer, where my text box is that I am wanting to pull over?
 
No, I mean the "OnFormat" event of the detail (bar) of your report.

I'm sorry to sound a bit vague but how do I do this?

My total in my report footer is called ID1Fynney - how do I enter this into the OnFormat part of my details?:confused:
 
Right Click the Report Footer (separating) bar (not detal as I previously posted) and select properties, then build oin the On Format property:

forms!YourFormName!YourFieldName=me!ID1Fynney

(YourFieldName can be invisible on the form, it's just a temporary storage value that does not necessarily need to be displayed).

Then reverse that went you store on the subsequent reeport, i.e.

me!YourReportfield=forms!YourFormName!YourFieldName

Note that YourFormName has to be open, but not necessarily visible, all during this process.

I'm sorry but I'm even more confused with you refering to forms in the OnFormat when it is between reports. These reoprts are created direct from queries with no form in between.

Report 1 is called RptOvertime
Report 2 is called RptSalary

I have created a total in the report footer part of RptSalary called ID1Fynney.
I have then created a textbox in RptOvertime in the Surname footer - (which is my group footer). It is here where I want to pull the total ID1Fynney through.
 
Save the report total on a form and then refernce it in the second report.
