I've got an access database that has numerous reports opening in 'report view'. When they open only a couple of elements are visible. Once you highlight the report the other elements appear?

Any ideas?

Gizzy -

I see this when I have several controls calculated within the report, or sometimes with complex background queries. Mine usually loads when I scroll down, but the initial controls apparently have to repopulate when I scroll back up. I'm assuming this is because it doesn't load all data at once in report view.

I've started setting my reports to open in print preview, this way it calculates all controls on load. I haven't had this problem with print preview view yet.

Thanks for the reply - the query behind the report is a really simple select all where x=yes. and the only calculation on the report does appear!

I cant use print preview as we use buttons on the reports to export/print etc!

I am having the same issue Gizzy and I too cannot use the Print Preview option due to control buttons on the report.

My DB was designed in access 2007 on win xp and we have just upgraded all our systems to win7 with access 2010 and now the report is not displaying correctly. It is almost a blank page that is displayed until you start clicking around the page or scrolling.

I guess this is some sort of glitch between the versions, but I am at a loss as to how to fix it. :banghead:

Attached images: report.jpg is how it is displaying atm, report2.jpg is how it should look.
