Hi,

I have created a report to show average value from my table. My table have around 10 records. Thats means i only want one report on the averge value of the 10 records. But in the report print preview, i have 10 reports all showing averge values. How do i remove the remaining 9 reports which i dont need? Thanks for any help...

create a query to find the average of ur field.

then create a report depending on that query.

query?

if i have about 30 average datas inside the report... do i create 30 querys? can give example on how to create the query and linking to the report? thanks...

u said u have 30 average data. it means u have a field on which u r making a group then make a group report and display the average field in group footer

sorry i am very new to access... how to do i go about to create the group footer... i have 30 average values to be displayed inside my report for different purposes. Currently, i linked the table to my report, and i used avg[], to calculate the average value that i need, and since i have 10 records, there is 10 reports in my print preview... i would appreciate more if u could kindly given me more detailed help, thanks...

u r saying that there are 10 records. then the average value of that 10 records is one value. if there r 30 records then the average value of that 30 records is also a one value.

so if u want to display only one average value then u can create a query for that one value and create a report.

if u want average value for different group then u have to make report using group.

eg

cust_id Order qty
c1 ord1 10
c1 ord2 15
c2 Ord1 16
C2 Ord2 19
c3 ord1 10

then ur report will display

c1
ord1 10
ord2 15
avg: 12.5
c2
ord1 16
ord2 19
avg: 17.5
c3
ord1 10
avg: 10

for report create group on cust_id, then in cust_id's footer display the avg value.

i think this is enough
