reports show number ID not data

Hi

I have created a database that is linked to several tables, everything works fine until I ask access 2000 to produce a report. The problem is, I have combo boxes that are linked to one of the separate tables and when ask access to display the report it shows the ID number not the data (which I need) in the other column. This table only has two columns and I feel I have tried everything. I have to give a presentation to other staff next week and I really need this sorted out. Please, can anyone help

You should base both your form and your report on a query, not the tables. You should be able to get whatever you want this way.

You can create two fields on your report and then
OnOpen do the following:
Me.Textbox1=Me.YourCombo1.Column1
Me.Textbox2=Me.YourCombo2.Column1

There's no point in having combo boxes on Reports or in a table either, use a query as Neil suggested
