Richard,

What you have will work, but your product codes and their format vary enormously looking a the product list. Also at the present moment unless you get an exact match on the Product code, you will not find the product you are looking for.

You may be better off searching for text strings in the Product Description field using one or more LIKE command strings in your selection criteria. You then bring back a number of hits and the user selects the one that they want. When this is clicked or selected it is transfered back to your order.

I have found that it works better that way.

Cheers,

I agree with your ideas but the problem is I don;t know how to do it.

Do you think you can do some physical sampling and upload here.

Please....

Thank you

Richard,

I took out your macro call to the form. What I did was change
your ProductName field to a combo box. When you select one
it will move the unit price and product ID to the proper place.

You really shouldn't store these values in multiple places,
because they are always available from your Product main
table, and if prices ever change, it could complicate life.

What do you proposal. Can you help me by show me some sample. I am a newbie here. I know that my program is a mess.

But i already try my best as I hv limited knowlede.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks

Regards,

Richard,

What I would propose is that you take the unit price, product
name and anything else that is a duplicate out of your
subform and its table. Anytime that you want that information
for a form, or a report, you can get it from the main table.

You do not need your "search" form, because the combobox
for the product name will do that for you.

Actually, all information in that form retrieve from Product Master List table and all information is meant for stock inventory database, if I take out to form one table then the information in Product master list table will not inorder.

What should i do for Stock Inventory database form.

Please advise.

Tks

Richard,

I'm downloading another copy and will get back to you in a
few minutes.

Richard,

I just changed your form back to using a combo box for the
product code. It fills in the other fields in the AfterUpdate
event.
