This shouldn't be this tough but I can't find anything on it that looks reasonable. Microsoft does it all the time with their thumbs.db so there have to be some simple fast windows calls to do what I want.
I need to make thumbnails out of hundreds of images which will later be transferred to tablets via WIFI. I could resize them easily in Android but that is the point, I don't want the bandwidth on the WIFI. I need to do it in Access automatically without user intervention because that is what I am serving up the other data from.
I just need to know how read in a file, resize it and save it to a new file. Preferably .jpg of course but .bmp if I have to.
All help appreciated.
One more thing, I do not want to do this with third part tools. Just windows calls.
