Restart AutoNumber

Is there a way to restart the AutoNumber of a field (set as a primary key) to increment from 1?

The only method I know of is to delete the field from the table design view and put it back, however I can't do this coz of the relationships.

Vassago's reply to a similar post solved my problem. Compacting the database did the trick.

So compacting the database will restart the autonumber back to 1. Mine starts at like 4000 right now LOL

deleting the row from the table design view, saving and putting it back again might make it restart from 1 (or 4000 lol).
might be a bit of a problem if u have relationships coz it won't let u delete it.

Theres got to be a place somewhere this information is stored. I can't see why there wouldnt be any other method of doing this other then removing the field and putting it back in.
