Restrict calculated field

I am writing a time-recording/flexi-time database. I have got as far as creating monthly flexi-time values (worked_time-contracted_time). But employees are only able to carryover 7.40 hours from month to month.

I have a Query where I am listing the monthly balances. How do I allow the balance to be the true summed value if <=7.40 but not to exceed 7.40?

Look at Iif() in help.

Iif(Mysum > 7.4, 7.4, Mysum)
