retain format exporting to Excel

I failed to export a text column (such as 00123) from access tabl to excel. In Excel the column turns to 123

wouldn't you have to open a new workbook though, and do that through the code in Access tony? if he wants it to be automated i mean...

(you can always do this stuff manually of course)...
