Hi,

"...put the procedure 'cmdAssignPins_Click' back into the module"?? Why did you do that? At the beginning of your post you say "I deleted the procedure 'cmdAssignPins_Click', ..."

If you want the 'pencil' button only, you can remove the 'cmdSave_Click' procedure of course. But you should keep the "Form_AfterInsert" procedure.

If it doesn't work, please attach your database.
