Return to normal settings

My MS Word opens up with these wierd ruler settings, how do i get them back to normal settings? For example the margines are set in pts instead of inches and page width and height is also in pts not inches?

Look at

the options under View on your toolbar.

Tools | Options - General tab, switch the Measurements unit combo from Points to the unit you wish.
