Can a report be coded to say if Field1 = Field2 take 1 off Field1 and add it to Field2, please?

This weekly report is quite a politically sensitive area for the user and strangely both Field1 and Field2 often end up with matching numbers. It's just coincidence, but it is not desired.

If they are made not to match - as in the required coding above - then they won't raise eyebrows. Help, Experts, please.

Manipulating actual figures in reports just to make them look "acceptable" is not a good practice....

You can try doing something with
NewField1: [Field1] + Iif([Field1]=[Field2], -1,0)
NewField2: [Field2] + Iif([Field1]=[Field2], 1,0)

Again I feel the need to stress you should not "mess" with the figures as they excist, it will come around to be a pain in the .....

Yes, point taken, and I will follow your advice. However, of course, there are times when 'slight adjustment' is a help.
