Hi
I have a field for roll numbers allotted to candidates for an examination, They are in serial incremental order but have a prefix of two alphabet which denote his examination centre e.g JD 1045.
Is there a way by which I can automate this entry. 'Autonumber' is not suitable as I have no control on the first number and again two candidates from different centres may have the same roll number with a different prefix.
