Rolling Averages

Hey folks,

I am a newbie here, so please try and help me out of this... The solution might be stupid but I am not an expert at VBA.

I have a table "Entries" with the following fields:


Date
Value
Average

A once-a-month entry is made in the table. e.g.
Date Value
---- -------
1-Jan-04 2050
4-Feb-04 1275

and so on...

What I am looking for is to populate the "Average" field with a rolling average of the past 12 months, i.e. the current month and 11 previous months. Normalization and essentials aside, can you please suggest how do I calculate the rolling average? If I can somehow attach it to the form "frmEntries" for this table, it'll be wonderful.

If so this is easy...

If not. then you need to make a query.

Are you sure there will never be 21 entries in the same month...?

You do these entries...?
