Hi there,

I am not sure the best way to do this,

I have a field with values that look like: 1.69553366385509 or 0.0061705541157596

I want these values to look like: 1.6955 or 0.0062 (4 decimal places [rounded up if possible])

Thanks for your help with this

Sue

Go into Design View, click on the column that has the values in it, right click, go to Properties, click on Decimal Places, then enter 4. That should do it.

I think I did what you suggested, instead of giving me 4 decimal places, it gave me none ('0')

???

go back and try it again, and click the down arrow and select 4

Are your decimal numbers in a table? If so, open the table and go into design view, and make Decimal Places, 4.

Yes, in a table

if I change it to "double" and then 4 decimal places - nothing happens

if I change to "long interger" and then 4 decimal places - i get 1 digit (no decimal places)
