Sales Objectives

Hello All,

I'm not quite sure how to ask this question, but here goes.

I am attempting to build a database for a car dealership. They have sales objectives that they want to enter for each month.

What I would like to do is build a form and subform to all them to enter:

MONTH YEAR
combo for NEW or USED
dollar amount
# units

Problem is I haven't a clue as to how to do this. I can do this for individual salespersons and their goals for the month but how do I use a date having a sales goal?

Anyway any help would be great.

More information: I have a table with objDate, objCategory, objGross, and objUnits

What sort of data/statistics etc to you want to get back.

Do you want the Goals/Ojective to have a goal period. In other words there is a start/finish date and the short term objectives to achieve the end result.

Is the data base to record actual activities/sales/amounst etc and to compare where they should be at a point in time as measured against Goals/Objectives

Or

Is this to be a basic listing of the objectives each month and for each salesman, but no more.

It is the company goal for the month NEW and USED. Not tied to individual salesmen.

There is another form where I will enter the daily sales totals based on individual salesmen.

Clear as mud?
