Hi

I wonder if any of you can help. All I want to do is create a very simple database to house a library of about 300 books. The employees of the company have access to the books so there'll be an employee table. I can't help thinking that every university or college would have something of this sort and I'm not terribly keen on re-inventing the wheel. Does anyone know where I could find a sample library database to adapt?

Thanks

Simon

If you are using Access '97 you can use the Database Wizard to create a sample database called Book Collection which might be a good start for you - it is rather ugly to look at but you'll be able to see how it works by looking at its components.

I don't know if later versions have the BookCollection as part of their Database Wizards or not, or if they have improved them for future versions.

t I want also is a catalog system that does have the ABC tabs and is linked to publisher, author, or title field, I don't know what kind of database you'd call this but I can't see it being hard to create
