Save Button?

I know I am missing the point somewhere here but......

What is the point of a save button in for example a contact record?

I type in the information, exit access and when I load it back up the information has saved anyway.

I am using a Contacts Template downloaded from the MS Site if that makes a difference?

If the form is bound then yes a save button is a bit superfluous as you have discovered. But then some users like the reassurance of a Save Button
