Hello,

I've been searching the forum for a while and haven't found what I'm looking for ...at least thats what i think : )

Okay ... I have a form that I would like to save and have it send an email to me when someone clicks on the "submit" button.....

can I have the "Submit" button ...save the record to the table and send an email of the new record? if so ...how : )

I have already created a report based on the table .....

any help would be great .....

and Thank you in advance

Arvin

I understand there's plenty of code around for sending emails from MS Access, I would search the forum and familiarize yourself with this first As there are a couple of methods, one requires that the user has outlook and the other method works without an e-mail client (I think) I suggest you double check this as I'm not completely sure.

Well .... I would like to send email without a email client ....

I have searched the forum...and nothing really stood out out for me ... i'll search again ... in the meantime ...if anyone has any suggestions ..please and could share them with me ...I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance ..... and thank you Uncle Gizmo ( love the name)

Cheers!

Hi,

there is plenty of code around for handling email as Uncle Gizmo suggests. Also, i do recall seeing a sample that would send an email without the need for Outlook or email program. it had various smtp settings built it but it was a while ago.

i would be pretty certain it is on the forum though. you have look deeper than a few pages ;)
