hi there,

I'm VERY new so please bear with me.

I have followed the very excellent advice of many of you here with my input form and a button that launches a report based on the record that i am on in the form!! (took me a while)...

BUT, some of the info is not showing up and i think that it has to do with the fact that i have not saved the info before the report launches.

How do i do that??? i dont know the syntax for it or where it should go....

you could create a save command button using the methods you performed to create the Open Report command button (i.e. command button wizard). or you could create a command button that refreshes the form's data using the same process. or you could add a procedure to the OpenReport procedure that refreshes the data in the form before opening the report. so basically, you'd be forming a series of actions for that On Click event. first refreshing the data and then opening the report.

hope that helps.

Add: DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord
to your button code, before the part that opens the report
