Saving results of a query

I posted this topic earlier today but all the responses kind of dance around the subject. I need a way to save the results of a query on a daily basis so that I can view these results if necessary down the road. The query is for a running schedule - items entered on monday but not completed until wednesday will remain on the schedule until completed. SO a parameter query will not work as it will on have the items placed on the schedule on that date, not all the items that were currently on the schedule on that date....HELP!

I am inclined to agree with Pat Hartman on this one. I know changing database structure is a pain, but really, down the road, you will find it easier to deal with. Say for example. ..

TblSchedule contains the fields
Task
AssignmentDate
OffScheduleDate

Now...you can run your query to find all records between two dates. If you wanted to go back a year and find the records that were "on the schedule at that time". You would look for records with AssignmentDate (From) and ScheduleDate (To). Criteria is written >=[Enter start date] and <= [Enter Ending Date]. I think you are referring to a parameter query in the sense of only filtering by ONE date, which is NOT a PARAMETER QUERY. If you want to see all the records that were on 7-15-01 and still on 8-16-01. You would set your criteria to those dates. You will get all records entered between those dates and those completed during those dates. Therefore for one days records >=7-15-01 and <=7-16-01 will return all tasks completed on 7-15 and 7-16. To see all tasks assigned on 7-15 regardless of completion criteria would be >=7-15-01 under your start date. Uncompleted tasks could be found using the Is Null criteria.

On the other options you received. Outputting your query results is a good way to save them. You can leave the output file blank when you use a macro and it will prompt you to name the file.

Would it help if you have table appended to everytime you run the query?
