I have recently finished a project with a PDA application which is used to allocate work load to service engineers and collect report information. I have managed to build a reporting application to analyse this information in access but am struggling with one aspect. Its a cosmetic thing really but I quite fancy putting it in.
I have data collected into a table to show jobs currently allocated and there current status (i.e. Assigned, ETA, Arrived). The data is collected in 5 columns as per the attached database table. The table is updated remotely every 15 minutes. Basically what I am trying to do is present the data in a form with the engineers names down the left hand side and there respective jobs showing next to them horizontally. Ideally I would like to have the status of the job reflected by a colour change in the text. To complicate it further if possible I would also like allow the user to access further information on the job by way of clicking the job on the form.
I am very much a self taught MS Access developer and unfortunately I have to admit I don't even know where to start with this?
Can anybody assist me in doing this and is what I am trying to achieve even possible?
