Here's a problem from my end user. Can you assist me with problem:

Whenever we add something new (i.e. a new record or new course code), the existing records are "scrambled." Instead of being in numerical order according to provider code, they are rearranged in order according to course code. We have exited the system and even rebooted our computers, but nothing corrects the problem. This happened to Carolyn yesterday just before she went home. She shut down her computer. When she accessed the system this morning, the records were back in order according to provider code. When the records are scrambled, we have to search through all 820+ records to locate courses offered by a particular provider.

Stacy,

I need more info here ...

What is the RecordSource of the form? Do you have any VBA code doing
things behind the scenes?

Can you post an example?

They are not in order because you are looking at a table - an unordered recordset. When you add a new record it could go anywhere amongst the records.

If you are binding these records to a form you have to use a query and sort them by the field you want. Ditto, to see them ordered the way you want.
