Question Screen Size

I have a form which is used as the home page and central navigation. It fits the screen perfectly on the whole. When I open the database though, some times it is slightly too big for the screen. It is rectified when you click into design view and then go back into form view. It seems that this simple step allows it to fit perfectly until you relaunch the database again.

I also have to ensure that the properties bar on the right hand side is closed along with the objects list on the left hand side.

So going into design view and back into form view makes it fit the screen perfectly. Any ideas how to rectify this, or is it simply I just need to make the form a touch smaller?

If you have extra space in the form on the bottom or right side it will be too big when maximized. In design view you should drag the edges of the form to it's smallest possible size. Also if you are set to show forms in a Tabbed format then it's difficult to fix the size of the form unless you switch to layered and then back.

Another thing you might want to try is in the Open event of the form add a line of code: Docmd.Maximize. This will maximize the form to full screen. If that doesn't work, try Docmd.Restore. Docmd.Restore restores the form to it's original design view size.

Resolved, fit to screen was already selected to yes.

I removed scroll bars and it now works fine.
