"search key not found" error

I've started getting this error in at least one table in my database; all of a sudden I cannot open it, or any queries of it. However when I Imported it into a new database backend, I can open it fine with 8242 records. Find Unmatched queries don't seem to find any key violations, but I cannot delete the old table now! It continually gives me the same error: "The search key was not found in any record."

I know this error often signifies a corrupted database, but as it is in production I can't easily take it offline to repair it. If this doesn't work, is my only option to Import and recreate the entire backend?

This problem seems to have stemmed from an aborted Replication process; if that is the case, how do I un-replicate the current backend so that it can be compiled properly?

Thanks in advance,
David R

I had the same error last week.
What I did, is a copy & paste of the front and back ends. Now it works fine.
Don't ask me why!!!
But it worked for me.
I hope it does for you too!

Install the Jet 4.0 service pack 6 to solve this error message. It can be found on Microsoft's website. If your dbase is on a server install in on your server as well.
