Search with a textbox

Hi!
I´ve searched all day for this. Some threads are close to what I´m looking for, but is little more advanced than mine (i guess). I guess this is simple for most of you but I have no idea.
All I want is a textbox on my form where I can search in my records, for exemple the number 20001. Hope you understand my question. Thanks

Can't you put an unbound text box on the form the use that as the param in the forms underlying query?

Thanks for your reply. Hmm, I´m not sure that I understand (newbie, swedish). I don´t want to search in a query, I want to search in my records so that it could be changed. Like the "find button" but whithout the replace and all the other stuff with the comboboxes. Sorry if I´m not clear (language problem).
