I have migrated my backend to a sharepoint wss 3.0.
If users logon to my access application (frontend) they have to enter the user id and password for the sharepoint. This userid must have the authorization to change and add data otherwise the front-end does not work offcourse.
Problem is that users can also directly logon with the same userid to the sharepoint site and change the data there also. And that is not what I want. The screenings and other calculation in the front-end are off course not available on the sharepoint so no changes there are alowed. How to prevent that? They do not need to even see the data on the sharepoint (it should be more like a secured back-end)
