Security or Permissions ???

I really don't know what category this fits in, but here goes. I have a password-protected database that I want to give two other people permission to update the data, but multiple other users should not be able to make any changes at all; however they should be able to click on a menu button and retrieve a report. I am using Access 2010 and we now have sharepoint capability, but I need to learn about that, too. Can I put the database on a sharepoint site, leave the database password protected to update, and establish read-only access to click on a button and retrieve a report?
