send email from listbox

i'm sure this has been discussed before but i can't find anything when i search this forum.

i have a listbox on my form which lists company name, contact, and email. the email feild in the table is a hyper link. i'd like to set up this list box so that when the user selects an item on the list outlook opens with the selections email address. Preferably the user just clicks the email address on the listbox, i just can't seem to make it work.

the email address shows up as a hyperlink, but you can't click it. the whole record is selected.

Assign this to a button on your form or to the DoubleClick event of the list box that displays the email address...

Application.FollowHyperlink "mailto:" & Me.EmailFieldNameHere

thanks.... its partially working now.. only once outlook opens i'm getting #mailto:doug@hotmail.com# behind the email address.....

any ideas?

Change the formatting of the email field within the table from hyperlink to text.
