Sending a Form in Access to a Webpage

I am trying to put a form on a webpage which I am making, so customers can enter details so I can compile a customer contact list.

I have created the database which has all the feilds which need to be in the online form and all the validations.

I need to somehow send the form in my database to the webpage and as I am a beginner I have no idea how do to this.


Any suggestions would be much appreicated x

You can use the Access Engine as your backend database and create your forms using HTML or some other software which will then be linked to your database.

You can also use Sharepoint with MS Access. Investigate that approach.

In Access 2010 you can actually access your forms as webpages. The full version isn't out yet

hey there ! , i was searching for the same type of thing myself , im rly new to access and not great with computers ! , does anyone know a more step by step guide of how to connect the database form with the website , glad im not on my own with this problem starry ! .

what does the object PAGES doing? ehehehe, I am using MS 2003 coz we are still heavy users of 2003 in the office (I wonder why they still use it) I have to downgrade to 2003 just to make sure they are compatible.

Thanks vbaInet, so on the ribbion in access, in external data, which option should I select to export the data, or as it's the form itself I need to export not the data is there another process which I need to go through?

I'm the same mrbethell and iv been looking for online tutorials on expression web (which im using) and for access but I can't see to find anything and if i do I don't understand it x

If you're new to Access, new to databases and new to creating web pages then I would suggest:

1. Read up on the whole concepts on relational databases + normalization, MS Access and VBA (coding).

OR

2. Get a professional to do it.

What you're looking to do isn't something you can learn following a step-by-step guide. Option 2 is your best bet, but with option 1 you have alot to learn

haha well the thing is , if only i had money to get a proffesional ! but i guess we can dream eh , i will try to read some of the things youve asked but ive also got limited time so il see what i can do ! , and i hope i can actually get some step by step guide at some point even if its somethign ic ant learn i can live in hope ! .

Pick up some books from the library (unfortunately, I don't have recommendations) Read as many books as you can and in your quest for knowledge you will be able to filter the bad/good or relevant/irrelevant books.

Remember Google is your friend. You can get lots of info from just "googling".

ah thank you rhee , i didnt mean it like that and of course research is always going to be vital , and im sure i can be patient its just what with the time limit an all but thank you anyway .
