I have Excel Spreadsheets loaded into 2 Access '97 db's. The Spreadsheets contain a field marked "Customer Name". One SS has the Customer Name loaded as FName MI LName. The other has the Customer Name loaded as LName, FName MI. Both SS's have the Name in one cell regardless of the configuration. I have configured the new db's to force the DE folks to split the names into their parts FName, MI, and LName. What I need to know is: Is there a way to "fix" the existing Names by splitting them into their respective fields so the format is consistent? I hope to be able to have at least the one with the comma separator read the comma and say LName goes to ABC Field and after Comma goes to DEF Field. Any ideas? Otherwise I have to manually go in and fix the data to the current format. Any help will be greatly appreciated...over 9,000 records to fix. Thanks!

Jack - Thank you for the excellent resource recommendtion.
