I have both Access 97 and Access 2000 installed on one computer.

Access 2000 is in folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

Access 97 is in folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office97

I am trying to add the service packs to Access 97 ( SR-1 and SR-2 ) and have been unable to do so. Has anyone done this before?

Please Help!

There are known problems and precautions to be taken when running both A97 and A2k on the same computer. There is an artivle in the MS knowledge DB about this though I do not have the reference at hand.

Cosmos75?

I run Acc97 (sr2) and Acc2000 on one unit (Windows 2000 based)

However, my installation directories are the reverse of yours.

ie: Acc97 ..\Microsoft Office
Acc2000 ..\Microsoft Office2000

Just checking my logs, and it appears that I installed SR-2 for Office 97 prior to installing Office 2000

Tried everything..

- Leaving the directories as-is and attempting to install the service packs

- Putting Access 97 into folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office and Access 2000 in folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office . and then trying to install the service pack

I am afriad of screwing up any existing DLL files!!

Please help me if you can! ( I know if anyone knew they'd help, must be that not a lot of people have Access 2000 and then needed to install Access 97 like I had to... :( )

Alexandre,

Yes, that is how Access 97 was installed on my computer that already had Access 2000. I got the instructions from someone but now I'll know where to look for them should I ever need to do it again.

My problem, though, isn't that I can't install both, I've already done that. It's that I can't seem to install the service packs for Access 97?

But thank you for trying, Alexandre, I am always grateful for any help that is offered!:)
