Hi
I am trying to set the value of a field in one of my tables by picking it from a combo box on a form.
The field is called 'Pass To' and is located in table 'Tbl_Diary'
The combo box is called 'cboPassTo' and is located on the form 'Frm_Action'.
Frm_Action has the recordsource 'Tbl_Diary'. By default the field in the table is set by a variable so that is reflects the users name who has logged in (this is a global variable in module 1).
I would like it so that when I pick a different user's name in the combo box on Frm_Action it changes that default to the name of the person picked in the combo box.
I would be very grateful if anyone has any clues... this also relates to an earlier post called 'Passing Diary Actions' however, I'm not sure if I have confused people on that post as I have not had much response. I am hoping it is clearer on this post what I am trying to achieve...
I am currently working in Office 2010 but have also attached an older version of my database from when I was using 2003 so that hopefully more people will be able to take a look???
Thanks
